Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) starter issues

Well i havent posted much, but have been reading the magazine for quite awhile. I have a 99 2500 24V CTD. Had an issue for the last couple weeks of the starter freezin up on me. I ordered the starter contacts from Geno's, got em replaced and now still having an issue. I've charged the batteries but turn the key to start and I got nothin. Anyone else have this issue or have any ideas?



I'm at wits end and am almost ready to get rid of this truck. I love my dodges and will never own anything else, but this is my DD and it's leaving me stranded.

Check your starter relay/terminal conacts. Your neutral/clutch safety switch could be causing problems. Your ingtion switch could be acting up.



You can by-pass starter relay/nuetral/clutch switches by jumping between the hot terminal and the terminal that goes to the starter . Have your ingtion switch turned to "run".
