Twice in the last week, when engaging the starter, the truck has made a "clonk" noise and the starter disengaged. The first time it happened was the first start of the day, Outside air temp about 25 degrees. The second time the engine had been shut down for about 20 minutes, Outside air about 45 degrees.
I can't really describe the noise other than a clonk sound, but maybe sounding like the timing was screwed up on a 350 Chev and then trying to start it.
Has anyone else had this problem? I plan to take the truck to the dealer next week to check the 2100 RPM drone TSB, and will report it to them, but I would like to go prepared.
Thanks, Tom
