Starter Removal

I'm having one heck of a time getting the lower starter mounting bolt off my truck. I cannot budge it. Has anyone else done this job and has any advice for me? I sure would appreciate it as I'm stranded till I get her going.

To make matters worst, I was working on a friends boat that is the same model as mine with Cummins B150 4 Cylinders. The starters are on the right side of the engines. I was guiding the extension with 12 point 10mm socket onto the bolt on the back side, and stuck my finger in from the bell housing side to guide the socket and my finger become stuck. I finally got it out by using the the socket and extension to left the end of my finger behind the starter. Pretty scary and I know if I started moving it to much it was going to swell up and I would be screwed!!! Chris
