So here is my issue. I have an 08 6.7. I think there may be a problem with my starter but I'm not sure. I'll turn the key to start it and all I get is a click. All the lights come on and everything. I'll turn the key on again and the truck will start no problem. It's seems to be an intermittent problem and it's not consistent. Any ideas?

Sounds like it might be the contacts in the starter solenoid. Geno's sells a kit for the older trucks but I didn't see one for an '08.

Of course, the first thing to check would be to isolated the batteries and do a load test on each one individually.

There is an assist relay that sends the start signal to the relay built into the starter not sure where it's located main fuse block under the hood maybe? But I would check there first Or attach a test light to the signal wire on the starter if it lights up when you go to crank and you just get a click then you know it's the contacts in the starter relay. I had the contacts on my 05 get all green with corousion and things would work funky sometimes. Nothing that some careful cleaning and die electric grease couldn't fix.
