starting a stored diesel

Is there a recommended procedure for starting a diesel that hasn't run for a couple of years?

Disconnect the fuel , turn eng over with starter till you see oil pressure , then give fuel to start .

What JFaughn said, plus change oil/oil filter and after you get it running I would change the fuel filter.

If it is a 12 v just disconnect the fuel shut off solenoid connector then crank.
