Wiring - THHN??

Better engine mount's??

I am pulling my truck in after work monday and start ripping out the 12v to make room for my 06 HPCR! will keep updates often with pics!!Oo.

Damn! I wish we could just swap trucks! I would LOVE to go the OTHER way on my '03! Not that I have any problems with the common rail engine, just prefer the simplicity, longevity and fuel economy of the trusty ole 12 valves and their bullet proof fuel system.

same here my friend... I stare at my '98 12v and my '04 CR sitting in front of the house and think just how "ultimate" the '04 would be w/ the 98's heart in it!!

Got my 12v out and on the floor, tried to start th c/r and no go, I can hear the fuel pressure solenoid clicking with key on power but wouldnt start, need to add fuelpressure. cant get my obd plug to work, powers up scan tool but wont communicate!!! I only have the can bus+ and can bus- running to the obd plug and wont work. any help??? need to reflash my computer before it will run and stay running.

Thank's Bob,

This is Robert from Ramsey Performance, I just bought A Smarty from you with the reflash. I may have you bench flash it for me just so I can make it run, but I still need to figure out why I am getting no communication. I talked to Autoworld today and they said the is a wht/violet wire in the 60 pin #28 and that is a pcm bus, but when i looked on my connector there was a rubber plug in that spot? I need help!!! I have another issue, when i tightened the bell-bolts the last 1/8" my convertor got tight, can spin at all with bolts tight, but 1/8 clearance it spins? I went to a SFI flex-plate and its a little thicker but it shouldnt bottom the convertor, I also put a fresh TCS convertor so I dont know if the hub is a little to long or the flex-plate is wrong? Rusty at TCS builds a awesome convertor and I have never had a problem with any of the 20 or so I have sold. This C/R better run sweet or I will stick my own foot in my ***!!! Oh, the left 24v and a right 12v motor mount bolts the c/r in with no mods, everyone told me I would have to move the ECM or re-position the frame tabs,,,, NOPE, bolt in... also with the tall 06 plastic valve cover and with the top snapped off the oil cap, I can close the hood with clearance.

Its Alive!!

I got the wiring all done and put some power to it, Wagners re-flash did the trick!!! Thanks Bob, I had one ground wire that I thought was for the fuel heater and turned out to be much more important!! When I hooked it up the smarty worked without a hitch. Cranked about 2 seconds and fired right up!!! Hoping to drive it home friday!!Oo.
