Well I have had it, and I am ready to start the lemon law process. I have spoke to a law firm out of Pittsburg that specializes in lemon law. They tell me I have a solid case and that DC will have no choice but to buy back the truck. I am wondering if anyone else has been through this?

I have the 65 MPH vibe, The decel howl, and several baint blems ( looks like milk under the clear coat ) they have replaced the ring and pinion, bearings and crush sleeve ( no help ) . Then they replaced the whole rear ( no help ). They had the paint fixed ( now it is the wrong color and full of fish eyes ) I just dropped it off today again and I cant take it any more.

I would really like to have a 2500/600 with no problems! Is that to much to ask ?

See Ya Drew:mad:

Holy mackeral!! Looks like you've had quite a bad time with your rig, sorry about your luck. Hopefully everything will work out with your upcoming buyback plan. After it's all done, do you plan on giving Dodge another shot? I know I've read some negative posts about the 600, mentioning vibrations and mostly fuel mileage expectations not being met, but I feel the majority are great trucks. Sounds like you just got a bad seed and your doing the right thing to fix it. My 600 has been nothing short of phenomenal, as I hope your next one is, Good Luck.

No Aekstrom I havent been throught this process but am getting really close to starting it myself for my 04. 5 600 and would appreciate any updates or info regarding this matter. Thanks

hi aek sorry to hear of your problems, i have been thru the lemon law process and yes i won my case. ok first thing DO NOT WRECK THIS TRUCK of course no one plans on wrecking there truck what i mean is they dc will use that as the reason for your problems no matter what it was, they will say its been repaired this could be or could be adding to the problem. next get a lawyer i see you are doing that. then you have to go thru this arbitration process now this was a few years ago so im listing what i had to do i dont know if they still use the arbitration process any more. if they do you must go thru with it before you can have the lawyer sue them. when you take the truck in for repairs make sure you allways have the major problem writen on the work order with any other problems. this is because the truck has to be in for the same repair at least 3 times but the more the better if trying for the lemon law. keep a record of all your repairs and have copies of all of them this is your right and the dealer must provied you with this. any one you talk to get a name and keep the date and time. i know this has been a inconvenience but its going to get worse if you want to go thru with this and if the dealer can not fix it then you have no choice. frist thing get that lawyer you were talking to and tell them you want to go thru with this. i wish you the best of luck keep us posted on what is going on and take care

I went through the process with a 2000 Jeep Cherokee.

Pretty simple process.

1st. . PARK THE TRUCK. If you destroy it... Your done.

2nd... Hire a lawyer. DCX wont listen to you. After 20 trips to the dealer/dealers and spoke to the service manager 10 times and area rep 5 times. The vibration was still in the rearend.

DCX was aware of the problem which was the output from the tcase and refused to fix it.

Lawyer filed papers and in about 2 months, I had a full refund including the added tires and warranty.

Lady that cut the check asked me why I hadn't called Customer Service at DCX. I showed her the log from my PDA of 8 calls with date, time, names of everyone I spoke to.

BTW... Keep good records.

Well, I think he'll be buying another Ram. He borrowed mine the other day, and mentioned that it exhibits none of the problems his truck has (Thank GOD!). In addition to the problems he's had with the truck, Drew didn't mention that his "loaner replacement vehicle" for over a week was a JEEP LIBERTY! I drove that POS while he had my truck. I'm not sure how they expected him to pull a trailer of any substance with that heap.

Actually, the reason I bought my truck, was because Drew showed up in my driveway with his new 04. 5 Charcoal 2500 QC, and I fell in love with it. Traded in a three month old Tacoma to get what I wanted.

I'm sure the replacement will be a good one. Now that all of the testdrive problems are out. (Test drive at 70MPH, listen for any decel humm..... ) I just hope the rebates don't run out before this process is over for ya Drew!;)

My problems with my 04 are not anything near what you guys are having. Basically, my paint sucks and I have a pull to the right that still exists after 3 trys to fix it. i still really enjoy my truck. i have the 7/100k, 0 deduct D/C warranty and plan to use it to the max. If I still have the same problems in the next 12 months, I may go the same route. I must say, the guys at Lithia, Grants Pass Oregon are TRYING to keep me happy. I feel its the big boys at Chrysler that limit the dealers as to what and how much they can do for us, the consumer, to make our warranty issues corrected. I guess time will tell. . Best of luck to you guys and keep all of us informed.

aekstrom,

Your case sounds a lot like mine. Retaining a lawyer was the best thing I ever did with regard to the truck Chrysler now owns. In less than a month and a half (start to finish) I had a check in my hand.

Take a deep breath, relax, soon that lawyer (as much as I hate them) will get you a deal you will be very HAPPY with. Oo.

I'm in the middle of my buy back and they are trying toget a user fee out of me. at . 35 cents a mile 3500. 00. My lawyer is hot on there heals. the thing that pee's me off is they knew about the 2000rpm vib before I bought it and did'nt warn me then denied knowing about it.

The driveline vibration has been the transfer case. The wandering and steering tire vibration has been loose caster bolts on the cam or bad caster set up. Power and smoke has been an injector. George

Seems most of these problem are on the 4x4, is that right. I just ordered a 4x2 DRW. i sure hope this doesn't happen to me.

Good luck
