I am having a problen I cannot resolve. I post on this site because my 24v motor is fed by a p7100 mechanical pump. My car has been driving fine up to now giving me 32 lbs of boost consistently. This morning it would only give me 14 lbs of boost. I went out and checked all clamps ,turbo, wastegate no problems there. Onto the fuel system, I bled the fuel filter (fleet guard) and got more boost (about 22lbs) . Still not satisfied , I took the system apart, I use a malllory lift pump with 1/2 inch lines. After putting back together, My boost is up a little this time to 25 lbs but the system is starving. When I lay heavy into it, I runs out of fuel and dies out. Has anyone had such an occurence?

Hadi, you said you bled the fuel filter. Did you replace the filter? All your symptoms point to not enough fuel and filters are always the first thing to replace when you are fuel starved. After that it's time to check the lift pump or a clogged inlet in your tank, or tank vent somehow clogged so it has to pump fuel against a vacuum. I hope this helps. There are a lot better experts than me on this forum but it doesn't sound like a really hard problem to find.

hadi,

Check the overflow valve on the injection pump. If its opening too soon, at to little pressure, the engine will run like crap.
