Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) starwheel adj.

The starwheel on my truck is located so far foward that you can't get a screw driver on it to turn it. Does this mean it is already turned up or do I need to pull the cover and adjust the starwheel. I installed a TST #5 plate and I really like the way it has woke my truck up, but it still seems a little sluggish on the low-end and I'm not seeing much smoke either. I was hoping the starwheel adjustment would help some. Thanks

afc housing

Has the afc housing been slid all the way forward in the slots on the housing? If that has been done, there is a screw on the backside of the afc housing turn that in a couple of turns and that should bring pre-boost fuel alot sooner, and get you some black smoke, and better acceleration. Oo.

If the star wheel is buried all the way to the front of the motor it is as loose as it will go.

There is an AFC kit that has lighter springs for quicker add fuel to boost. Do you have the AFC kit installed?

The AFC spring kit that comes with the plates has a medium and light spring. I have the medium in it now.
