yep... they are the next step in the HPCR engines... i think they [the piezo] will be more reliable than the present coil actuated HPCR injectors [and there hasn't been all that many failures of the coil elements in the current ones too]

They call em "pumper diesels" here, "Pumpe-Düse" over there. Yep, my 05 VW Golf has em. Cant use anything but synth 505 spec oil in the engine. There is a fuel pump, but no injector pump.
