OK This is starting to annoy me!, Everytime I get out of my truck I get zapped! no kidding , wheather I am in the truck for 2 minutes or 2 hours. Anybody else have this problem? It has done it since new (took delivery 1-31-04) and it has 6600 miles on it already.

I,m starting to wonder if some ground is not right or something?

Anyone? I have the premium cloth if that makes a difference.

racebeeper68, same issue came up in another thread about 3 days ago. do a search for "shocking truck" i do believe that was the name of that particular thread!

I have the same problem at work with our f-550 bucket trucks. In my case it comes from dragging my but across the seat while holding the plastic interior door handle and then touching any metal part of the door to close it. Leather seats really help. I am one of the only guys that this happens to regularly. It just means that you have a lower resistance and not much can be done other than standing up a little more before or while getting out of the truck. I also get a pretty good tingle when touching a twelve volt battery and contacting any part of the body with any part of mine

i get the same thing. don't know why. my 93 did the same but 98 and 01 do not. i try to remember to push the door shut with my elbow-the shock don't feel as bad

When I was still working we used a mixture of water & downey 50/50 in a spray bottle to spray the carpet, maybe this will work on your seats. Just mist it on don't soak it.

Yea I think RNASh has a good idea. Spray the seats with liquid fabric softener.

Yea, but what happens when it dries?:D :D

I have the same problem. My wife says it's my electrifying personality:cool:

It never happens to her.

It's not the vehicle as I've experienced it for years.

I have the same problem with my '02 ever since day one. I've learned to grab the door as I'm moving out of the truck as I haven't found a solution yet.
