Working down in Houma, LA right now and one of our trucks is 100% plugged. Wondering if anyone knows anyone in the area that is capable of doing a desoot on it. Dealer can’t get it in until next Monday, not too convenient when the truck is your hotel room. I posted here cause there’s more traffic than anywhere else.

Any access to AlfaOBD?
E105DFA2-4655-40A5-9F52-73C6F84402AD.png I found this online. While trying to download it, it keeps routing us back to this screen. What’s the easiest way to purchase this and get it working?

Easiest way to download and purchase the android version if through the Google play store. Then the license will be usable on every android device on your account.

When I click on google play, it buffers for a while and brings this same screen up. I have a feeling the service is so bad here right now, it’s timing out.

Can you switch over to wifi access at hotel, denny's, etc?
205F2A7C-88BF-4DC8-87AD-8EB10235AF10.jpeg I’ve now gotten to this point. We have a mobil hotspot that I’m using, but I’m pretty tech stupid. I connected the phone to the hotspot, but now keep getting this message, Interface not connected, but the phone shows it’s connected to the hotspot. I’m guessing I’m doing something wrong, just don’t know what.

What a minute, I think I realized my dumbness. It’s connected to the hotspot, but I’m guessing the interface it’s referring to is the ez link you plug into the one port?

That is correct. Looks like you have the app loaded and it is trying to connect to the dongle (hopefully you found one) so you can talk to the truck.

You are correct. Now if you have the OBD bluetooth adapter, you go into the phone bluetooth settings and connect have the phone connect to the adapter (you only need to do this one time). Once the phone connects to the adapter you go back to AlfaOBD and click on the bluetooth icon and tell it to use the adapter you just added to the phones list of bluetooth devices.

Alright, thanks guys!! We “had” an Mx Link+, right up until someone dropped it and it got run over. I’ve got another one coming overnight, should be here tomorrow. Thanks again for the help.

Stay safe out there Tramp.

Is this one of your uber duber high idle hour rigs?
Thanks, I will!! Yes, this truck has an excessive amount of idle time, as do the rest. When we go out on storm work like we’re on now, the trucks will run 24 hours a day the entire time we’re whereever we are. We eat, work and sleep in these trucks.

@TRAMPLINEMAN , Thanks for the time you're putting in to get those folks back into the current century! Stay safe and hopefully your MX+ post to help with the truck. AlfaOBD will be a great help!
