Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Std Transmission Repair

I need to have a NV4500 rebuilt due to a syncho problem between 2nd & 3rd. Does anybody have any recommendations for someone in the San Francisco and surronding Bay Area. I will probably rebuild the entire transmission.

Back in Issue 31, p. 23, I wrote up Standard Treansmiossion of Fort Worth, TX. They offer fully rebuilt NV4500s with the fully splined mainshaft upgrade at a reasonable price. Even with shipping of the trans from them, and returning the core trans to them, you might be money ahead and avoid hassle. . . call them at 800-std-tran.
