Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) steam cleaning

Has anybody gotten their engine and engine compartment professionally steam cleaned? If so would you recommend it or not? Also did it do any damage to the engine? I just recently relocated by breather tube bottle and want to get the engine and the rest of that area nice and clean.

I used the company steam cleaner on mine all the time after oil changes (not that it needed it ) after a road trip with rain in the mountains going skiing never hurt mine. I just let it set until I got off from work then went to the shop and did it before it got hot. And I didnt REALLY hose down the ECU but didnt try not missing it either. just use it judiciously, Like that big word HB is helping me in my writing skills so I can contribute to TDR when I grow up (like thats ever going to happen)
