I have read and searched the forums concerning steering boxes. Sounds like PSC boxes aren't all that they are supposed to be. Does anyone have experiences with NAPA boxes? I called them a few days ago, and found out they want $185 (+/-) for a rebuilt unit with a 3 year warranty. I am planning on adding a DSS at the same time. And, where is the best place to purchase a DSS (SSI version)? THANKS!!

I have a PSC 3 turn box and it seems fione except for a little looseness sometimes when I turn hard..... not sure if its the box or something else... most of the time its fine.

I recommend a 3 turn verses 4 turn box. It makes driving the truck effortless and is supposed to help with steering wander. Another 3 turn box can be had from www.powersteeringservices.com. I haven't heard any problems from them yet but It looks like they are selling the business if you google it.

I'm running a PSC 4 turn box. I've had it for years. The only bad thing is that I had to adjust the preload on the worm gear by nearly 1/4 turn after the first 2-3K miles. I've only ever bought 2 "rebuilt" boxes and both of them needed adjustment after the break in period. If I had it to do again, I would have bought the 3 turn box and not the 4 turn... . actually, to do it again, I would have just had PSC build the pump and then add a DSS to my factory box. My problem was steering in parking lots and backing trailers... not keeping the truck on the road.

Also, one thing to add about PSC: My experience with them has shown FIRST CLASS customer service.
