Has anyone replaced their steering box? How hard was it? Are there any tips or tricks to make the job easier?

I know I will need a pitman arm puller, and a tie rod separater, anything else?

A good set of crowfoot wrenches (prefferably the flare nut style),will help with getting the lines off,and an impact gun for the bolts and pitman arm. Other than that is should be pretty easy. Depeneding on how corroded the lines are you may have to replace some of them if they twist off when removing. Some hydraulic places can repair them if they aren't too bad. Good luck.

Don't be shy with the pitman arm puller. I ended up putting a 36" breaker bar on my Snap-On puller to get the arm off. Don't forget the drain pan.
