Do we who have OEM tires need a Steering Box Support, or is this more for the big tire people? Just wondering, is there a lot of flex down there?

I have one with stock tires and like so many have said - yes, they make a difference. Even if there wasn't any frame flex, the braces take a lot of stress off the steering box.

I can't offer any first-hand knowledge. I own a 2005 (sig) that has mild mods to the engine but is otherwise (chassis & tires) bone stock. Based on what I have read here over a fairly long time, the steering brace would be a good idea, even with original tires. For mine, I'd like to add a brace + upgraded steering box + 08 suspension upgrade. That will take some $, and so gets a spot on the priority list relative to whatever else is there. My good fortune has been no problems and no "death wobble", but the clock continues to tick... .

I have used my Defiant SBS both with stock size and oversize tires.

It helps eliminate steering wheel play and wheel wander with BOTH size of tires.
