there is about a round and a half free play in the steering box plan to replace the box , have a new borgeseon steering shaft and going to do the tie rod ends and drag link . does anybody else have any experience with the agr box ? the napa box is 205 here and has a lifetime warranty so thats probably the way il go they dont give an option on the number of turns for the box it lists them both but i guess you just gota hope they send the right one after doing some searching and reading what other people have said about the napa box i am thinking maybe the napa box may not be that good of choice the agr box is nearly twice as much as the napa box but if its a better quality box i would rather pay extra and get a better quality box are there any other boxes you guys have tried and had good or bad luck with thanks

If I had the cash to drop (too many projects/hobbies... too little money), I'd put an AGR box into my truck while I'm fixing these steering issues. Like you and I mentioned, it is expensive, but what's a couple hundred dollars more in the long run for a part that should last for the remaining life of the truck?

Just my opinion on the matter...

well i would rather spend 200 more to get the better quality box but i dont want to spend the money then find out it is no better quality than a cheaper box .

I'd go with the AGR. I had to remove a 'rebuilt' napa box off my 1972 crew cab because it jerked hard to the left and bleed off anytime in a left turn. Was tracing the gremlin for a while and never thought it would be the box but found out the hard way.

im definatley thinkin the agr box or some other brand i have been way less than impressed with the quality of napa parts latley i think that they are tryin to hard to keep up with the prices the big junk auto parts stores have

another question for you guys is there a bushing for the steering shaft where it comes through the fire wall on the engine side my shaft has a lot of play between the piece that bolts to the fire wall and the upper half of the steering shaft?
