Okay, I did a Lukes link on my track bar, tightened everything up, been driving for 6 days now, yesterday there was a noticable clunk from the front end, almost feels like a shift of some sort, now I do know my tie rod ends and pitman link are all worn and I have the other 4 Lukes to do this weekend, but does it sound like I messed something up?, I followed the instructions to the tee, reinstalled everything, I even rechecked it 2 days later, retightened it yesterday, still clunking today???. Going to check the infamous shock mounts, but could it also be that now that the track bar is "tight", all the other "loose" joints movements are more noticeable, like now there is new movement because track bar is tight??? did that make sense:rolleyes: . Thanks guys...

Kalaehina...

There is a post in the products forum where some guys are having clearance problems with the Luke's Link on the front rear cover. I see you have the front lifted but, have you checked it for clearance near the link. I have been watching mine to see if it will hit and so far after 1,200 miles still no hit,may be worth a looky see.

Have you checked or replaced any of the ball joints or either of the inner axle u-joints,these will do the same thing also. It could be possible that fixing one thing may exaggerate another, but, not usually unless the other parts are worn badly. I'd start at the ball joint and check them and go from there. Pitman arm is a good area also to look, when worn the will clunk as you turn side to side. Have someone turn the wheel while you look over the underside and it should tell all... ..... Andy

Thanks for the advice Andy, I checked my clearance over the diff. cover, plenty of room, the 2. 5 coils was a blessing on this one, this weekend I plan to do the last four of the Lukes fix then we'll see if ball joints are in need of replacement too. I am concerned about the clearance between the link that connects the rods near the passenger side sway bar mount, stock it comes very close to contacting each other, now with the Lukes cap on, looks like it may touch, don't know. Anyone with 2. 5 coils have Lukes also have a problem with this?
