Steering column snapping or ticking sound re-post

Mine started about six months ago so, I guess my truck made it 350K and 10 years.
I've searched old posts but didn't find the EXACT reason or what to repair/replace. Early summer, I ordered a new steering wheel and a clock spring from the dealer as I believe he said I might need one. From my post searches, the clock spring didn't fix the problem.
Anyone KNOW WTH it takes to fix it ?
