Have a high pitched squeak some where in the steering coulmn. (Auto trans) I only hear it on rough roads. If I put slight downward pressure on gear shift lever the squeak stops. It only does it in drive. I have lubed all the shift linkage where it connects. I know that it is not the clock spring. Any help on solving this problem would be appreciated.

I had the same problem and you are on the right track. Make sure you do all the moving parts/bushings for the linkage: white lithium grease worked for me.

P. S. My noise/squeak would disappear when put into 1 or two and would only squeak when in drive.

Same squeak

I have the very same problem!!! I cant find where it is at! I sure hope someone else has figured out where it is coming from.
