Steering Damper

Quick question I have an 04. 5 that has had the 08 steering upgrades. When I am replacing my steering damper do I get the one for the 04. 5 or do I get the one for the 08-12 trucks.

You need to get the newer damper to go with the 08 steeringupgrade... it connects to the track bar with a different style mount.

Get the one for the 08. 5+ trucks.

What upgrade are you talking about sir ? I have a 04. 5 also ?

Steering Upgrade 2009, all new designed components, sold as a kit for around 300-500$ at the internet and by the dodge dealership.
Best together with the all new steering gear, very heavy, very precise.
Truck goes the road like a European car after installing.

Is this a dodge recall on the 08 steering up grades ? Do they cover it or is it up to us to pay for it ? What does the upgrade include and whats the cost ?

There is no recall to replace the early steering linkage
