Bought truck used 10 years ago, already had dual steering damper installed, not sure of the brand, but the hardware looks like a Skyjacker setup. Fast forward 10 years and 120k miles, trying to tighten up the front end, thought I would replace the dampers along with the ball joints and steering box that I just replaced. Did a bunch of measurement and finally bought Bilstein dampers that had the same measurements as what was already on the truck. Problem is, the Bilstein dampers have different eye diameters, and will no way fit on the current hardware. As you can imagine, rust and age have taken their toll. I have searched for hours, I cannot locate any special hardware for the Bilstein dampers. I suspect they will fit the stock mountings, but since I already have a dual setup this is certainly not the case. Would it be unreasonable to replace the current hardware with some quality Grade 8 bolts, washers and nuts?

If the tire size in your sig is correct I would go back to stock. No need for dual stabilizers in your situation, and can do more harm than good.

Actually that is what I am going for I think, just a single Bilstein. I am thinking of going to a 305 tire, but that is still with in spec of a single damper. So I guess the question still remains, just use the Skyjacker mounts with new nuts/bolts that will fit the new Bilstein damper?

I am using a single FOX steering stabilizer that replaced the factory steering stabilizer with. I would provide the part number, but my steering stabilizer would not work on your truck's steering geometry. I am still using the old-style steering geometry.

My summer tires are "LT285/70R/17' these are in the same size class as 33X11.5R17 according to TOYO tires.
