steering failure

Has anyone had their power steering to fail and what was the fix?

My '03 has been at the dealer over 3 weeks. A new gear box and pump was replaced yet that hasn't helped.



Mine is HO 6 speed 4x4 with 22,000 miles

Darn. Not much else left unless new steering sector is bad. Why 3 weeks? seems like a LONG time to do some diagnois!

What are the symtoms?

This may sound crazy, but is the steering stabilizer dented or bent? Mine felt as though it would lose power assist just out of the blue for a second or two. Mine was the steering gear.
