Steering gear lock up

My steering gear locked up, would not turn to the right. Turned left just fine.

It freed up before I could find the problem after I took the drag ling loose.

I flushed two quarts of fluid through the power steering system and everything seens to be working OK now.

I have no idea what the problem was, could bad ball joints cause this problem?

Has anyone heard of such a thing happening to anyone else?

Any help would be appreciated.

My rig is an 03 3500 4 door six speed long bed, the only modifications are larger tires than stock, it has 67,000 miles on the odometer.

Never heard of anything like this on a vehicle. Please keep us posted on what you find.

It might be a long shot, but take a good look at your steering stabilizer and see if it is bent.
