2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Steering Gearbox

Where is the best place to get a replacement gearbox? I'm not sure about adjusting to take the play out of the steering wheel.

I got mine from PSC. There seem to be mixed reviews for all of the vendors of rebuilt boxes.

I got mine from Power Steering Services in Springfield MO. "Chip" rebuilds them himself. Dodge chose to use the old GM Saginaw box and that resulted in some mistakes being made. No marking on the outside as to ratio. I got my 98 12v new and it had the wrong ratio box. Chip sent me the right ratio box and I replaced it myself. Chip will tell you to never attempt to adjust to remove play. That adjustment is the over center adjustment and can only be made with the box disassembled. My box was a 4&1/4 turn stop to stop and I replaced it with a 3 turn. Cured the wandering. Send me an email and I will send you his Phone #. -- email address removed --.
