I'm not sure what year Ram switched the front steering configuration to where there are separate connection points on the passenger side steering knuckle for the drag link and tie-rod. This seems to be a superior design to that where the drag link connects to the tie-rod inboard of the knuckle (like mine on my 2010 model). I was curious...are these knuckles interchangeable to the earlier 4th gen axles. Could I source a late model knuckle and install that on my '10? If one was going to go through the hassle of swapping ball joints, you could swap the knuckles and steering linkage as well. What are some thoughts on this idea?

The swap occurred with the 6K axle, suspension, and frame upgrade in 2013 on the 3500 and 2014 on the 2500.

Not sure about swapping it all out thou.

You could still do it, just involves a lot more parts, like front axle and all components! A well equipped shop and good welding skills would also be need. :) All kidding aside, was a great idea and the knowledge from the forum save you the time and $. I always said it doesn't hurt to ask even if you think the answer is no.
