Steering Knuckle

Working on the front end of a 1996 Dodge 2500 4x4 with Dana 44 front axle? I am replacing the "steering Knuckle" ball joints but "OEM" replacement ball joints are much smaller compared to what was removed. Is it possible to have a Dana 44 front axle with Dana 60 steering knuckles from the factory? These factory ball joints have never been replaced! Truck is at 150,000 miles. Please advise. Thanks
