2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission steering/lukes link?

i have a 2001 3500 sport loaded now with 36200 miles on it i just order a lukes link because i brought the truck back to my dealer 5 times for wandering. they said nothing wrong its fine they dont feel a thing. last vist to the shop they replaced the steering box and my 2 front tires. still same thing. now that its over the milage they are more then happy to take the truck in for tests at $85. 50 an hour! well my question is how the heck do i put his thing in without damage to allignment. also just order autometer gauges from genos garage ,are they hard to install my self?remember be gentle im a spackler not a auto mechanic

The link does not effect wheel alignment. Its attached to the frame and the axle, not to the tie rod.
