Recently new tires 70 psi, doesn't drift but very sensitive to steering, hard to keep it on the road. Steering does not seem stable.

How old in the steering stabilizer (the thing that looks like a shock absorber).

If that is leaking you'll experiencing the symptoms you're talking about.

If I remember correctly, to carry the max GVW (if your truck is a 2500) you only need 65 PSI in the front tires. If you are driving empty you don't need anywhere near that much. I keep my stock-sized tires in the front at 50. Too much air and you are riding on the centers and it feels as you describe. If this is happening with the new tires and it was not doing this with the old tires, I am guessing you have too much air.

A weak steering stabilizer does not cause twitchy steering, but worn and binding ball joints will ;)

Steering Problem

Took it to the dealer, since I already had 235000 miles on it. The track bar and power steering gear was replaced, some wear in ball joints which were not replaced at this time. I rented a new Ram 4x4 when the dealer worked on my truck(one day). The tire pressure was also lowered to factory specs. This 11 year old 2500 diesel steers like the new truck I rented. (Dealer McPeeks of Anaheim). Thanks for the input from the Forum. Oo.
