Ok I did not get a response on the regular forum so I am posting here since the truck is dangerous to drive. I have an 06 with 16K that is dangerous to drive it wonders so bad, steering wheel yanked on every bump, steering will not return to center. I am very familiar with these front ends from my 96 that had the same trouble. The usual suspects, However, are in good order on the 06. Need to find a reasonable dealer in south eastern New England since my dealer is out of business. Can anyone Refer me to a good service department ASAP, I will need the truck for work next week. Thanks. Adam

Sorry to hear your new truck is giving you so much trouble. I have heard that the dodge dealer in dorchester ma. (westminster dodge I think) is decent. I have never been there except for parts. I'm sure 10 other members will post and tell how bad it is but I will give them a try when its time to get a 07 this spring.

Thanks, the steering stabilizer looks fine. The truck is going in as soon as I can get a pyro gauge to give the edge egt probe a reason for being there. Don't want to draw unwanted attention with the attitude monitor.

Well finally got my truck back from the dealer, TSB had them replace the tie rod ends and steering damper (I was sure that would not change much) which didn't change anything. Biggest scare is when you are going down the highway and move the wheel to correct for a shoulder the truck keeps going in the direction you correct i. e. the wheel never comes back to center. They did increase caster which still did not make a difference. One good thing, they found the lots of metal in the rear end and I got a whole new rear end, drive shaft and rear springs. To bad I still can't drive the truck as intended.

I have to say that Central Dodge on Rt44 in Raynham has been very easy to deal with this far despite the pending steering issue.

Ended up being the steeting box. The srvice dept was very good. They were out of ideas and politley said they did not think a box would help but they would replace it anyway if I wanted. They put it in, drove it, called me up and said boy that did make a difference. Think I finally found a service dept. worth endorsing. Central dodge rt. 44 Raynham MA, Ken and Matt
