With my truck running and in Park, when I turn the steering wheel I hear a squeaking sound coming from the front end. Also it is very difficult to turn the steering wheel. When moving everything is fine. I suppose the squeak is still there but just can't hear it. Would ball joints cause this problem? There is no shake or vibration at up to 75 mph. If not any other suggestions. It has the original ball joints at 125,800 miles. BTW, I greased all the front end parts i could.

I'd probably look at the ball joints too. I know on a old beater I had many years ago, I drilled a small hole right in the middle of the ball joint cover and added my own fitting. You could try to disconnect the tie rod and (on a jack stand) turn the front tire by hand.
