Took my truck in for regular service at my 5 star (in every way deserved) dealer. The service writer told me they found my stabilizer leaking fluid, and repalced it under warranty. Wife said she found a spot on the garage floor and thought it was fuel.
Interesting outcome: the replacement is a fully covered shock absorber like you find on the axles. No more mud, ice or whatever on the exposed piston to bind up the steering.
everybody should have a dealer like Valley Dodge! Have you hugged your service department lately?

Ron, how old is your truck. How many miles, and did you get the extended warrantee?
If theyll buy it, I'll have them do it.

We have enjoyed 12,000 miles together. The replacement looks to be a larger diameter and has improved the centered steering wheel feel somewhat. I think this change may have come from the failures of USFS and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks service trucks stabilizers.
