Steering stabilizer

Has anyone had experience with a DSS (Darin steering stabilizer) I understand that they really work well. The front end on my CTD is starting feel a little loose so I was thinking on one of these. Any thoughts??

This is probably the single, price efficient mod you will make..... All I have to say are possitive things. Add a new track bar, or Lukes Links and you will have a brand new truck!

DSS doesn't cure every thing

The DSS bracket is very nice I have one and it works very well but it is make to suport the sector shaft of the steer gear box and/or keep the bearing/bushing from wearing more and it does do that it won't cure other loose joints. I would check to see were your steering play is coming from to be sure before ordering one.

How many miles do you have?



I have the DSS, it took out some of the play but not all. I have a new box and track bar on order, that should take care of the rest

I haven't used the DSS, but I did install a Rancho steering stabilizer, and I left the stock one on. It did help alittle, but nothing extreme. This spring I lplan on replaceing it, the ranchos don't seem to last very long.

You are right, I'm not going to start throwing money at it until I know the problem. And I haven't really looked. So that Will be the first thing i do . Anyway what I have noticed (It got 54K miles) is: It follows the crown of the road more than before. When pulling my trailer the front end wonders in and out of the big rigs road groves way more than before. The tires are still wearing great

I don't think you would be waisting money... . If anything, saving it... The Power steering is unsupported on the bottom near the pitman arm... . If you don't buy one, you may wear out the pump faster than you want (at the least the seal). It just makes sense. I don't have any connection with the DSS, but you could't buy mine from me.
