My steering seems to be noticeably heavier after a mild offroad jaunt into Rocky Mountain National Park. There were a few times where I think I was against the stops on the switchbacks. Could I have bent something? OR was this caused by straining on the pump (by pushing the wheels lock to lock and then some)?

The truck tracks perfectly straight-- it's just that the steering is stiffer, esp at slower speeds.

What upgrades are out there for the POS stock steering damper?

TIA

You might want to take a look and see if your steering stabalizer (dampner) is bent. My friend bent his in his 1500 once and made it really hard to steer. Dodge puts them where they are really easy to smash.
