Second. If everything else (including the steering shaft) seems tight, then it's almost definitely the suspension bushings, especially if they have over 100k miles on them. A crowbar applied to them won't show anything unless you can apply (almost literally) a ton of force on them.
Thanks for the replies . As far as suspension bushings I’m pretty sure they have over 320,000 miles on them the 3500 as far as I know already has the t style streering linkage at least both of mine do . Whats the recommended steering shaft replacement now I used a Dorman in my one dually it had a cheap leaf spring that fell out upon installation. I did a steering box brace and a cheap reman steering box that helped for about 3 weeks and then it was sloppy again . Is a red head steering box a good upgrade
