Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) steering wander

drove my wifes truck to michigan last week and noticed that i constantly had to correct the wheel. this seems to be strange for a truck with only 35k miles, my 95 goes down the road better. i let my brother use the truck today . and the first thing he said was that there is something wrong with the front end. he said that dodge had a problem with over torqing the ball joints at the factory. has anyone else had this problem, i'm going to make an apptment on monday

New track bar and new steering box before 4,000 miles on mine - solved the excessive play, wander and slop. The steering boxes are notorious for being bad on the 4x4 trucks.
