Steering wheel lock?

Kind of a weird question, I know, but are the new Rams w/ auto trans. supposed to have the steering wheel lock after the key is removed? It just dawned on me again that mine has never locked since Day 1.



This is my first non-Chevrolet vehicle, and I am used to the wheel locking with only minor rotation after shutdown on GM stuff.

My steering wheel locks when i shut the truck off. One thing my truck does not have is i can move the shifter out of park without stepping on the brake. This is the first vehicle i owned that i could do that with.

My steering wheel only locks upside down. Have you rotated it that far?

Come to think of it, no, I haven't tried to move it beyond a slight turn to the left or right. I'll give it a try. Thanks.

Kind of a pain at times, mine only locks upside down also. Normal operation as I understand it.

Mine goes from left stop to right stop on rocks and will not lock. Maybe they forgot that step
