I live in Norway where I drive a Ram 2500 1997 Quad cab long bed (100k miles). I have tried to fix my sloppy steering with "luke´s link", but since I have been to this forum, I see that there might be a lot more to do before the steerings is right. I will have to order parts from the USA, and it would be best to get all I need in one shipping, and I wonder what parts I will have to order.
I am certain that I will go for the steering stabilizer, but: I have some (minor)play in the steering gear; do I have to replace that as well, or might the stabilizer fix it?
And what about the track bar conversion kit? I am not going to have a lift, is there anything to gain with the conversion, and do I have to have the adjusable track bar as well?
I have sometimes a sort of cracking noice in my steering shaft when I turn it. Should I go for the Borgeson assembly as well ?
What do you think; should I try the steering stabilizer first, or go for more/all above?
I am grateful for any suggestions.
