The pressure from my wife to put steps on my new truck is almost more than I can bear. I like it just the way it is, but in the month I have had it she complains about getting in every chance she gets. At first I could turn my ducks back toward the onslaught and the comments would just roll right off, but now a few are starting to get through, and shes throwing them harder. I know I can't hold up much longer. Has anyone installed those little electric ones on Geno's? I guess I could live with them. Is there a better solution? I'm not to keen on bolting tubes under my Inferno Red door sills. I tried the stool on a rope trick, she didn't go for it. If only the thing could kneel down like a bus on her side an bit. Maybe I could park near small mounds of earth on her side.

I put Stainless nerf bars on mine. I know what you are saying, it was almost comical sometimes watching my wife climb into it. Attached is a pic and it is also inferno.

Edit: I tried a pic but it came back saying too large, guess I need to play with it somemore. I do have pics in RR, just not the latest with my new wheels.

I pondered the step thing too. Decided to go with the nerfs, easy on-easy off if I did not like them or found something else later. Actually, I wish they stuck out a couple inches further, they would catch the possible future door dings from the idiots that fling their doors open next to you in parking lots.

i just put the amp research steps on and they work great. it was funnt watching my dad get in without them because he is a short guy with one arm and he would bang his head on the a-pillar everytrime luanching himself in.

WORD OF CAUTION: Amp forgot to include the wiring harness, so when my guy installed them we had know power so steps were left hanging down. Called amp, they sent me the harness, only it was the wrong one, so i waited another week for the correct ends to show up. unfortunately i forgot the steps were down one day and hopped over a parking lot divider curb and came down on both steps. no noticible damage, but they sure creek like heck now

As previously stated, Amp research steps are the way to go. They are expensive and sort of in depth to install them but in the end IMO there is no better step out there

In light of the other opinions (for the AMP's), I gotta say that stainless and chrome look the best with the inferno red. Check out my readers rig gallery for pics of my stainless boards (the pics dont do it justice though, it looks much better in person than the pictures show).

Also, my issue with the retractable steps are that they dont provide rock chip protection for the lower sill when retracted. My 03 got severly hammered by rock chips from one trip to Montana before I put these boards on it.
