Stereo Noise When Brakes Applied

For the last week or so, every time I apply my brakes, after 1-3 seconds, there is a static crash in the stereo system. Anybody got anything similar? Or, know the solution?

I put an amp in my truck and if I turn the amp up to much I get the same thing but when I turn it down a little it goes away.

Are you talking about a stock stereo or have you installed an amp?

Everything is stock. It is the one with the CD player in it.

The only thing that I noticed was last weekend when I was listening to the race on AM radio, I was towing my friend's Landcruiser and every time I used the brakes I would get like a feedback sound through the radio from my brake controller. It only happened on AM radio.

Check the ground on the brake controller.
