I've got a noise up front and I don't know how to describe it. What kind of sound does a sticking brake caliper make? And, could it be enough to feel it in the steering wheel? After taking the wheel off, should I be able to move the caliper back and forth horizontally?

Thanks.

Caliper

Sticking caliper probably wouldn't make any noise. If it caused pulling while braking it would be to the opposit side as the sticking side would be very hot. The caliper is pretty snug and you can't move it just with your hand. You may be hearing the wear indicator on the pads, makes a high frequency sound as it touches the rotor. bg
