Throttle has started sticking at about 1200 RPM. If I slip into neutral and do a quick tap to the floor and back it will release & idle down. Anybody experience this one. Where do I start?

First place to look is at the injection pump where the throttle cable comes out of the outer housing. The cable will fray and hang up. There was a recall on the 94 to 96 trucks for this. But not on the 97 that I know of. Also check under the dash where the cable goes into the outer housing.

The 97 already has the up-graded cable, but there is a recall that up-grades the ball stud and the sockets on the throttle rod. Check to make sure your return spring(s) still there also

Thanks for the info! I'll start with those tips. I do have the heavier return spring on because of the Jacobs E Brake.
