Well seems like the Red Alert is here too as the pages take for ever heard it on CNN about noon some type of worm or virus . well I have the windows up as of half houre ago power from batt out of trailer as suggested here on the board . Pulled the cover off ignition switch and followed Even Beck,s suggestions found red wire 12. 57v black ornge 0 volts all pins look good no burn on flat pin or connector no burn smell looks normal 7pin connector 4pin connector couldent get appart without braking it secret not known how to do it . looks good though clean no sign of burn . I guess I will have to go to dealer parts for some brakers and relays as pointed out that they could look and test ok but still be shot . sure hope that is what is wrong. I did not have much time to work as my wife works and we have only one working vehicle hers a trooper 4x4 . so with going to the store and back and forth with chores time flys . I will post more as soon as I get back from a trip to walley world Rx for wife and find some thing to eat for my dogs and me . stil down but windows up and things seen better . for now Ron inLouisville(drive way). :confused: :( Don't let the --------s get you down with the delays this was loding for so long it disconnected from the net . low life puts worm on the net.

Ron--what type of guages and where did you tie in the power and ground--long shot here but disconnect the negative battery cables and then connect them back up after about a minute-doubt if this does anything, but this will sometimes clear a code, which could be the problem, this will probably not help---it sure sounds like a fuse or relay problem----chris

I finally found all four threads got a little information from each. Bear with me while I try to figure this out. It's been a while since I had to think.

Works:

Headlights -> PDC FB, FC, FF

Instruments -> (ran out of time - problem at Mom's house)

Chime -> Central Timer Module -> JB F13, JB F11, JB F6

Interior lights -> JB F12 -> PDC F1

Door Locks -> JB F13 -> PDC F1

Doesn't work:

Starter -> PDC Engine Starter Motor Relay -> PDC F9

PDC Engine Starter Motor Relay -> Clutch switch -> C134 -> Ignition sw -> C134 -> PDC F10

Windows -> C203 -> JB CB1 -> Ignition sw -> C134 -> PDC F2

BK/OR wire -> Ignition sw -> PK/BK -> C134 -> PDC F2

Blower -> Joint connector #8 -> JB F2 -> BK/OR -> see above

So, if F2 and F10 under the hood are okay, I'd be looking at the ignition switch or C134. I know I said this in a previous post on another thread, but I thought I'd run through it again and see if I missed anything. I probably did, but got a family problem I must go take care of. Good luck! I'll be back in a few hours and see if anything's developed.

There's a chance you burned up the ignition switch when you shorted the exhaust brake.

Oh, and when you hold down the tripmeter while turning the key on, you initiate a gauge-check sequence.

Wish I could be more help.

PDC = Power Distribution Center, under hood

JB = Fuse panel in dash.

F = Fuse

Ethdee = well, you know that.

P. S. I like the way the BBS reformatted my table. Not. Wish I could fix it, but gotta go. Hope it makes some sense.
