Still ... Having trouble staying logged in?

Well, what can I type?



I added TDR to trusted sites.

I clean the cache and cookie files.

I do not use the remember me button.

I still get logged out by the forum.



Tonight I logged in and browsed a few forums. I tried to enter

TDR Website/Roundtable and got the infamous not logged in screen.

Try using the remember me check box - that will set the cookie. If you don't do that it will use sessions and it's based on your IP address. Some internet providers will change your IP address in the middle of a connection - which will cause you to not be logged in at that point unless you have a cookie set on your machine (which is what checking the remember me box does).

That makes sense to me. I don't recall my ISP using roving IP addressing, but they do amaze me at times.



BTW, I had to relog to get back to here. I was reading some threads in the 12valve forum when you replied.

If your cleaning out all of your cookies, you will have to log on the TDR each time you go back to it after the cookies are cleared. If your using a utility to clean your computer cookies and other stuff (like Norton), most of them will let you set up domain names that should not be cleaned when you clean everything else.

I clear cookies periodically and before logging on to any site.
