Installed vp-44 today, overtightened test port for gauge hose, leaking to much fuel to drive. Does anybody have a filter head available for my 98. 5?

It's the first year of the 24Valve,I believe 98. 5 and 99 are the only two years that use that style of filter,The truck is presently in Downey CA,If anybody is in this area and has this part let me know. THANKS W:BRAICO

I don't know squat about the early models but I'm assuming that you cracked the housing. Is the fracture in an area where there is a circumference? If it is then you can remove the fitting and apply a radiator hose clamp to reinforce the housing. If you carefully reinstal the fitting the leak may decrease and get you to where you need to go. I know this is Irish American engineering, but it might help. Mike

Thanks AKAMAC I may have to do this or find out if it can be heliarced,I sure would hate to go to dodge to get this filter,it may not be a cummins part.
