Hey y'all,

Been almost a year now since having my '09 3rd gen 3500.

Have about 12K on it now. . stock 'cept for my 19. 5" tires I had on my old '01. Put the Super Bee from Genos. . looks good... . Truck is running good, no real problems. . did a couple oil changes and did the latest flash. Truck averages 15 mpg combined city and freeway. seems the trick is to have at least 10 miles of freeway per day or other day to keep the DPF happy. haven't had any CEL's come up 'cept for an early oil change warning due to a lot of idling ...

Anyway, whenever I hear a 2nd gen loud 5. 9, I get a little nostalgic. All those upgrades and stuff!! ... lol... So far the truck is great. . towed to May Madness. . the 68RFE works wonderful. The integrated Jake works as advertised. I use the Auto like a manual when I down-shift and use the jake. . very smooth and works well... So far, so good. . looks like most if not all the kinks have been worked out.

Hope all is well here in the 2nd gen area. . Haven't forgotten about you. . I look around here from time to time..... see ya

Did you sell your old truck locally or trade it in? Have you seen your old self driving down the road? That would be weird.

Sam

I traded it. The dealer must have auctioned it off because a guy in pennsylvania bought it, found me and asked me a lot of questions on the stuff on it. What was this for and so forth,. He's making a sled pulled out of it. It has the power if he builds it up right.

That's OK Eric, I'll keep my old Frog Green 97. I like the RATTLE and SMOKE and $45,000 in my pocket and 17mpg in town and 20plus on the road. But yes new is nice. Glad your injoying your new truck. Didn't make May Maddness to say Hi maybe next year. Tom
