The odometer in my '08 3500 quad cab and chassis rolled over 20,500 miles at the end of a trip a couple days ago. I have not seen a MIL or code set or even an oil change required message.

20,000 miles is not much compared to the miles that a few commercial haulers put on their trucks every month but if anyone is sitting on the sidelines unsure of whether to take the risk and buy a new truck or hang on to his older one this might be useful information. There have been a few reported problems here on the TDR website but there are also many trouble free 6. 7 engines on the highways.

My truck has seen a few long highway trips pulling heavy trailers but it has also been used for short trips around town for several weeks at a time between trips.

08 5500 now with over 35,000 when I last saw the truck... . We had a couple of problems in the first month but for the past 11 months or so this truck has been trouble free...

We, like Harvey haven't seen an oil change indicator, nor can we tell when its going through a re-gen cycle...

However this trucks runs almost every day and runs at close to its GVW of 19,500 lbs...

Fuel economy is about 1-2 more mpg than the F550 it replaced and the driver is happier with the truck. . This has the Aisan transmission and is our first automatic...

I am glad you guys are having good luck, seems like all we ever hear is the problems with 6. 7... ... ... ... now go knock on some wood quick!

I have an 07. 5 3500 and it has been trouble free. Got the truck Dec. 30th. Had the G30 recall after having the truck for about 2 weeks. No codes, no oil change. Best running truck ever had. It has 9643 miles.

A little over 13000 miles on mine, never been back to dealer, but did get my 1st oil change light after sitting in traffic for 1 1/2 hours to get 7 miles.

I'm glad to finally hear some good news about the 6. 7L. I just picked up an '07 5. 9L out of fear that the 6. 7L might sideline me for a week or more waiting on a new Turbo or DPF. Lots of horror stories floating around and so few praises. I hope you guys can keep trucking with the 6. 7L.

Have had very few issues with my 07. 5. Oil changes occure at 4K to 5K on my own accord and oil samples taken at each one. 18K on the clock with every thing from long idle time to commuting to towing 11K in the Rockies. The lack of noise and the large power curve make me very glad I did not get the 5. 9.
