To all 05' owners with gauges and STOCK 610's what type of max EGT's numbers are you seeing? How does this compare with the non-600 third gen's numbers? Looking at getting gauges in the near future just want to know what I should be on the lookout for. Thanks all.
Dark ram. that was before I put the T. s. T. in. It had 200 miles on it when I put the gauges in. I hooked the tst up without the boost deal that comes with the new setups and it still made about 5 lbs boost over stock. this is on setting 0/0.
What were you seeing for boost stock? After TST without elbow? I would be careful not installing the TST boost elbow. I was going to do that with mine and Mark at TST stated the turbo could see to much boost and go KaBoom... . I think it is from bypassing the MAP sensor, TST is hiding the boost from getting to ECM and the electronic wastegate will not kick in to limit boost. I did how ever adjust the elbow so I can see around 36lbs of boost. When I was running stock I would see 36 lbs. Put on the TST and boost elbow and all I would see was 30lbs. Adjusted the elbow to allow max boost around 36lbs. I have really like the TST. I need more fuel pressure to really see this thing make some power.
I did the 1300 today going uphill in 5th around 3000 (I was watching the egt gauge). I think all diesels should come with an egt gauge. I went over 1200 on a stock '01 too. Now that I got the egt gauge in, let the games begin!
I did my 1300 exactly the same as swexlin, uphill at 3000 rpm. JPereira,29 lbs stock I seen 32 lugging in lower gear when it was a little cooler out. With tst every setting is progressively more boost. on setting 5hp 3 tq I stick around 40 pounds on 5hp 4 tq I can hit 45 pounds so I don't run it there. My boost elbow should be here today.
Thanks JD, I was more interested in stock truck numbers, I'm working on my 05' and I 'm making a few changes and didn't start with a base number so I'm fishing a little here, my own dumb fault I guess!
