Differences in EGTs between K&N and AFE air filters?

Who has a 4" exhaust from Big Exhaust?

I have about 8,000 miles on my 02 CTD and have only towed a 20 foot boat. I am gonna start towing a fifth wheel or a trailer with a car on it. I don't consider any of these heavy weights, but I would like to a transmit ion with a larger quantity oil pan. Any recommendations regarding larger pans. Are they being made, or what brand I should purchase? Any help would be great. Thanks.

as an added benefit...

... aside from the volume increase, and the heat-transfer advantage, (which may be debatable, really... thin sheet-steel v. thick cast aluminum?)... . the M/H or another big, heavy cast-aluminum pan can provide 2 real advantages. .

1. if you drive dumb on big rocks, less likely to tear a hole in the pan... would be more likely to slide over, (or crack and leak  ) so don't do that...

2. tends to act as a case stiffener, so when you BOMB the engine to 800lb-ft or more, the transmission-case won't deform... the stock pan did allow some of the research guys' transmission cases to distort right around the 800 mark...

when I first got my truck, the "conventional wisdom" said that 750 lbft was the realistic max... . now, it's almost a minimum level to brag about, at all... . get a pan!

The Mag-Hytech is an excellent product but way overpriced in my eyes. The TCI units are just as high quality for a more reasonable price.

Summit as a Huges Racing transmission pan, 3 quarts over stock part #HUP-HP1580, 150$. They usally don't stock it but will get for ya.
